A new colleague in our team likes to drink coffee, after questioning her for quite a few times,
she admitted tat she is 'kopi-soh' or in another words 'kopi-嫂'...
Soooooo i started calling her kopi-soh in office...
Then one day while i was making milo in the pantry, Susan decided to give me a name to match my hot beverage fetish... which is the most frequent hot beverage which i take...
now my 小名 is 'milo-soh' or 'milo-嫂... some claps n cheers pls... :D

we started to have all sorts of ideas on hw ppl can address 'kopi-soh' and 'milo-soh'...
we tink it'll b good to call us mocca... milo + kopi = mocca? idea?
so next time in office if ppl need us both at the same time, they can shout 'MOCCA!',
we will be there for them... lol!

Toy Story & Despicable Me!

caught 2 good movies on consecutive Sundays...
'Toy story 3' on 4July'10 & 'Despicable Me' on 11July'10

Toy story 3 wasnt that much of entertaining as compared to the latter. it was more focused on the escape of the toys from the orphanage back to their owner's home. goes more in-depth into the loyalty of the toys towards their owner.

the 2nd show was the best movie of the yr so far... Despicable Me!
those yellow capsules n Agnes are just soooo cute! mi n darling were just laughing throughout the whole show... Though there were scenes of Vector(the real bad guy) which were quite irritating, but overall, i would rate 4.5/5 for this movie.

2 scenes of Agnes which i cant forget after the show...

oh yes, the one in the centre on the top pic is Agnes (:

Was on a short hiatus... Nt on a vacation but went for an op...
This is supposed to be the 2nd n the last wisdom tooth op... I finally got rid of them 4... Hoho!!!
Before the op, I was just terrified n super duper emo tat I have absolutely no mood for anything... Darling even bought mi a DSI to give mi companion durin the MC days, hopin tat I'll keep my attention on the games n wun suffer much pain after the anaesthetic wear off... So sweet of him (: I'm gonna take gd care of my new toy (:
Mom n paps were oso there to take gd care of mi... Mom accompanied mi to the op, pap came after the op to fetch us home... Mom was busy preparing soft food for my meals , helping mi pound big pills into smaller pcs, checking if the swollen area have gone off... (:

Darling came to visit on the 1st day, bought yummy dinner which I can only see but can't eat, made mi laugh when I had stitches on... Lol!!

N becos the wound is healin at a much faster rate, I'm able to go out on the 3rd day... Mi n darlin went to parkway for kfc!! I had whipped potato... N darlin helped to peel lil' pcs of chicken for me... So sweet of him~~~

Nw I'm given 6 days of mc to recover fr this op, im gonna enjoy all of their care n concern... Keke (:

woke up at abt noon today, prepared n headed to Bedok for a meal... went to find a famous bubble tea place 'Sui Yan She' / Drink Tea...
got myself a cup of roselle iced tea while darling gt a cup of honey green tea...

headed on to purchase all the ingredients needed for the cookies...

was abt 3.30pm after we finished the shopping...
so off we went n started with the baking...

the baking session lasted for 6 hours!!! n we even forgot to take our dinner! loL!!
but luckily darling was there to help, if not it would have taken mi longer...
we were both worn out after the baking~~ but it was realli great doing cookies with pooty... hehe...

Happy Birthday mommy!!!

bought her a handbag as pressie... (: mi n darling rushed back hm after wk as we'r heading out for dinner with my family... so dad drove us all to a zi char stall located somewhere at Still Rd... woots... nice food!

especially this 'fu lu ji' (chicken is marinated in salty tofu cubes)...

it is sold in supermarkets or even provision stalls, packed in glass containers with blue/red caps... it comes in normal or spicy flavours... ppl like to mix it with porridge..

i cant get a pic of the cubes online, if there's a chance i'll take n upload tat up.. (:

as for mi, i'm a fan of those salty cubes, n so here is the chicken in tat flavour...

after the meal, we headed back hm... went to watch abit of Getai... actor 'alamak' was the last guest of the show, n he realli gt us entertained! :D
oh ya, there's this statue of the god of fortune located just nearby the stage...

n at certain timings, this god of fortune will sprinkle flakes...

so when we were there, we coincidentally met with the 'giving of flakes' timing...

n when the flakes started to fly around...all the people were snatching away!!!

22-1-10:
on friday after wk, we took a bus down to chong pang market to place order for the cny bak kua... i thought that i was being kiasu reserving the bak kua now, but i'm realli lag behind.. all the slots (few days before cny) were alrdy booked! we've no choice but to come collect the bak kua on 4 feb which is alrdy the nearest date to cny... hope it wun spoil by the time cny is near.. lol.. but anyway, we have no other better choice cos tat's the brand which dar's mama wanted to buy...

after making purchase for the bak kua, we walked down to chong pang market for our dinner... machiam doing a reminisce of our childhood days when we were both yishun-ppl... lol!

headed down to the pet shop after dinner to buy ebichu's sand bath... n mr.pooty gt attracted by the fightin fishes n he bought one home...
n he chose this fish becos it has 'colored' lips... loL!! so cute~~~

n there he went home happily with 'sexy lip'... was playin n obeserving the fish for the whole night... -_-'''

when the clock ticked 12am, we opened a small bottle of red wine which we bought...

n the red wine did gave us a gd slp... both of us were concussed till moring!!! n we realised we din bathe last night!!! omg!!!

so i rushed to have a quick bath before we decided to go for mac breakkie since i can hardly wake up early on wkends.. loL!

noon time was spent cleanin the pets... n nappin.. again!! yes, my energy was drained after all the groomin n washin... loL!!!

n i finally woke up at 6pm, headed out for a yummy claypot rice meal at AMK... was too hungry so no pics for the food...

it's my 1st time making a homecooked meal for pooty... the final conclusion after all the cookin, i've used up all my energy after the cookin! from the preparation of ingredients to cooking n eating... oh gosh!

but it's real fun to go through the whole process with darling la.. machiam 2 lil' chefs creatin chaos in the kitchen... though it was an enjoyment, there were still gt mani improvements to be made...

Was chatting with baby dear via email at wk just nw.. We were makin plans for tml nite n he suggested tat we go catch a movie.. N the show is none other den 'Avatar'... Frens who noe mi well will nv ask mi out for such movies cos I'll nv be interested in shows under such category.. But since I've heard n read soooo mani gd reviews on this movie, I shall accompany my dearie to watch it.. But of cos, I have my fears... Don't u tink tat the blue-face character in the movie appears to b kinda scary?? Hmmm.. maybe it's just my personal feel towards the creatures... N so I was mentioning this concern of mine to dearie.. N he replied 'tat's y I'm there to protect u ma, timidty leow...' yes he calls mi timidty leow!!! Omg it sounded so awful but so funny.. Gosh!

been to orchard for the whole of the 3days during the long wkends including one wkday in fact when i met smurf for dinner last thur...
i must say this is abit over... nt just been to town for these 4 days, in fact, i've been to Fep for 4 days!! wth~~~
anyways, here's some updates for Friday (271109) and Sat (281109)...

on fri, dar's mum treated us to lunch at Wan Hao restaurant located at lvl 3 of Marriott hotel...
though the price for the buffet lunch is super exp but the rating for each dishes were worth the $... just a pity tat i didn't take any pics as the place is kind of quiet n snapping of pics will sure create noise which is gonna disturb the ambience there... :D
we headed for a shopping session in fep after the meal, and to our disappointment, we bought nth... n so we went for a teabreak at Marmalade Pantry in Ion wher dar's sis bf treated us drinks... the ice chocolate which i ordered came in such big cup that i had prob finishin it despite the gd taste...

after the short break, mi n dar headed to look for a shop to get ri's present but after an hr's walk, we still din manage to track down tat shop... n so we went hm empty-handed on Fri... :(

so on sat, we decided to go try our luck again... to track down tat shop n get ri's present... after dar's driving lesson, we went back to Ion again... this time round we search all levels but to no avail... :(
so we went for dinner at Rabbit brand and some shoppin for titbis at M&S...

accompanied dar to shop for shirts n saw smurf!!! so the later part of the day was spent with dar n smurf... :)

some updates for our short getaway to Genting Highlands ...

Day 1 (13-11-09):

departed Sin at 6.15am...
n there i'm off to Genting with my newly-painted nails!!!

After spending 6 hours on e bus, we finally arrived at 12.30pm !!!
N while waiting for e check-in at 3pm, we went to shop for some toiletries followed by a meal in Pizza Hut... food served is realli delicious and cheap!!!

check-in after e meal and did some packing before we r ready to explore e shops!!!

We wondered around n saw loads of stores but we din get anything that we like... just purely walking around enjoying e cold air... haha!!

Dinner at Hao You Ji located at lvl 3 of Genting Hotel shopping mall... our plan was to have dim sum there but since we were famished, we decided to have our dinner there instead...

bought some titbits n headed back to hotel for a rest before we head out to Casino!!!
ended e day with Marrybrown for supper...
luckily e winnings r enough to cover for my expenses for this trip... n oh ya, e expenses were none other den food n more food!!!
cos mi n darling were busy indulging ourselves in yummy-licious food every few hrs... haha...

Day 2 (14-11-09):

getting ready for our day 2!!!

headed to 'Dong Ting' to have herbal soup for lunch...

n off we go to e outdoor theme park!!!

we only managed to conquer 6 items when it started raining... regretted not gg on e 1st day... :(

so we were forced to stay indoors... darling decided that we should catch a movie since e tickets were cheaper den in Sin, n so, we bought tix for 'Poker King' at 7.15pm...

before e show, we went for a dinner @ Kenny Rogers...

after e show, we went to try out e fish spa located at lvl 1 of first world shoppin mall... gd experience but it was realli ticklish!!!

darling realli spent his days over at Genting like a king... he opted for head n shoulder massage while doing the fish spa...

after the session, he even went for foot reflexology!!! my gosh, he's really spendin like nobody's business... - -'''

n pizza hut for supper!!!
this time round i tink tat e stuffed crust is of a lower standard compared to the pan crust which was so heaven-licious...

Day 3 (15-11-09):

Our package for this trip included free breakfast but we din manage to try any cos there were too many ppl!!!

n that will sure teach us a lesson to get ourselves queuing outside the cafe at 6.30am the next time we'r headin there!!!

So due to this crowd, we decided to head to 'Hao you ji' for our dim sum breakfast!!!

headed back to hotel after our breakfast to pack n get readycheck out...

3 days ended in a swift n i'm looking for more holidays with my darling... (:
e clock ticked by in such slow motion during this 3 days, as if it was also relaxing n takin a lil' break off the fast paced motion back here in Sin... i cherished every sec spent with him n hope that e time which i will be spending with e Boyf will be as slow n always enjoyable... (:

11 more days to our short getaway!!! hohoho!!! n this is gonna be the first time that we'r travellin out of Sin alone, just the 2 of us!!! (:

cheap n yummy jap dinner @ Amk...

had a stroll in amk hub before we went to search for Pine Garden's Cake!!!

after reading on so many yummy reviews here n there, finally i can get some back!!!

bought 8pcs back... n i would have bought more!!! cos the way they displayed the cakes can make you want to carry the whole fridge home!!! :D

out of those 8pcs, i managed to try their 'blackforest' n 'brandy martini cake'...

I heart their blackforest cake!!!

love the freshness & lightness of the whipped cream. I love the chocolate flakes even more. :)

I'm nt so a cake-person, mainly what i'm looking for in a cake is that 'not-so-sweet-but-fluffy' taste ... But for a real $2.40 deal, I can’t ask for anything more.

Normally when i'm havin my cake, i'll tend to put aside the whipped cream, but for this, the fresh cream is very light and it fits the 'not-so-sweet' criteria that i ate all up.

Everything goes well together with the chocolate sponge cake which is chocolate-y yet delicate. I guess i'll be heading there for cakes more often!

While savouring the cake, it would sure stir up childhood memories with its sponge cake and buttercream.

nonetheless, all these can only be fulfilled if you have a gd partner along with other factors...

so we just discussed abit of here n there on our thoughts with regards to tat topic...
but the main big big prob is that we nd more $$ before we can start with anything...

after the dinner, we got back hm to place our bags before heading out for a short mid-autumn playtime...
n btw, we gt the items at a shop opp dar's hm before we headed to queensway just nw...

had been followin an individual's blog for quite a period n i had a great time readin her entries... when one day, she posted one on the petroleum jelly balloon.. so this gt mi the idea to buy it for this mini celebration... keke... i've seldom spent my childhood playin ard with kids of my age u see... as im kinda introvert, n also my parents r very protective towards mi n my bro, being afraid that we'll get hurt easily... ok when i'm younger, i'm a weakling in actual fact... muahaha!!!

woke up at ard 10am in the morning to bid gdbye to Boyf who's heading for his drivin lesson...
went back to laland an hr later... zzz.
when he came back, we prepared ourselves n headed to Queensway shopping mall to get his new shoes... n i had a waffle & a bowl of laksa for my lunch...
as for the waffle, i just liked the way tat auntie made the waffle... abit oily + crispy + tempting dark green glow... (*the waffle and laksa r fr 2 diff stalls)
if anyone happen to pass by there, be sure to drop by n get a pc of it... since i'm nv a healthy person when it comes to food, i call this my fav waffle... haha!
n if u'r interested, you may enter the mall fr the back entrance (the place wher u see many smokers)... walk inside n u will see this lil' stall located in the middle among other shops...
to further verify that u'r in the right stall, u can check to see that their waffles r actualli resting on the heating pan wher ppl fry their tapioca cakes in pasar malam... try n let me know if u tink it's nice... ;)

ok so after Boyf bought the shoes, we shopped at Anchorpt n Ikea...
before we finally settled our dinner at Ikea cafe...
this is the 1st time we stepped into this eating place even though we've been to Ikea for so mani times... loL!!

that's the way to pass my work days... n this method of self motivation is working well on me...

during my younger days, my parents used to bring mi n my brother out to parks/gardens or Yishun dam... we will then stroll the park with our own cartoon lanterns n will also play with candles & fireworks, while paps n mum will enjoy their mooncakes n chinese tea...
as mentioned, that was when i was younger... n now that we've grown up, no more carryin of lanterns... wad's left is appreciation of mooncakes bought fr diff places....
but for this yr, it's gg to be the 2nd mid-autmn which i will be spendin with my Boyf...
