How was National Day for all of you? I hope it was great! Especially the long weekend. No more Monday Blues! (At least for this week la hahaha!)

We watched 'Up' late last night and the entire film was... breathtaking.
before the show, i had my all-time fav claypot sharksfin soup for dinner@ lucky plaza....
hang ard ion n dar bought mi a box of yummy chocolate at Royce...
found this stall @ FEP selling shaved ice... we tried the champagne grape flavour n it was nice...
we nearly forgot the time n managed to rush our way down to amk to collect the tix for show...
it's our 1st time watching 3D movie and we were so damn excited..
LOL.. dar was asking if he could have a 6D effect if he wore 2 glasses on..
since 1 pair of glasses = 3D effect...
so this silly brain was so excited that he wondered if 2 pair of glasses = 6D effect??

anyway, back to the movie....
'The little distinctive quirks ellie and carl shared, the way two superficially different people come together to love and promise each other a lifetime of unabashed, clean, proud love. altogether entwined in a plot so bloody original, animation so wonderfully creative and characters (oh that cute squishable potato-lookalike) so full of life. Pixar is ingenious. it is such an amazing film... and i still can't get over it. the good things are what we remember at the end of a long time, etched like classy pieces of antique in memory. there is no getting over them, no forgetting them. so why waste moments grouching over lousy, probably insignificant minute upsets and miss out on what is really there staring us in our face? Love.
Ellie and carl... despite being mere animated figures, they are braver than us in so many ways. timid, abiding carl who loves ellie more than anything in his world...and willing to risk anything, anything at all, just as long as she asked it. It is amazing, how the two of them are ensconced in their world of adventure and... simply loving each other. cheesy but very real; carl and ellie have perhaps shown us the impossible - how Love can actually exist as a song, so beautifully nuanced, so... perfect in its little quirky imperfections, so imaginative, so adventurous, a song possibly lasting for lifetimes.
Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful films ive caught in a long time. '

i felt the film was heart warming.. n simply amazing n brilliant of Pixar to have created such lovely figures with those expressions that touched every single bit of ur heart...
and not to forget the lil' boy, Russell.. he 's sooo cute!! haha...

sat is the proudest day of the week i can say... cos i managed to wake up before the clock strikes 11am!! haha!! so damn proud u see.... cos i nv wake up early on wkends...
the reason for y i got tat energy to sprung up fr bed is tat it's a long wkend n i have better activites set aside besides slpin on my lovely bed... loL!!
though dar was alrdy prepared waiting for mi to get myself ready.. i'm still so glad tat i woke up sooo early.. haha...
accompanied him down to SSDC to apply for his PDL before we headed to my hse to put our bags...
met doreen n patrick at marine parade hawker centre for a meal before we headed for our cyclin sessi0n at ECP... hohoho!! it had been like centuries since i sat on a bicycle...

visit to a pet shop before we head for dinner.. but y r the fishes lining up???? loL!!
and we ended the day with a yummy steamboat @ Maifan...
i guess i nd not go into details abt the food as it has been mentioned quite alot of times in my previous post... but nonetheless, you guys shld go try.. (:

spent the day at hm.... watched the NDP show during the evening... snuggling up at home is sometimes a wise thing to do when u wanna save up!! haha...
so we only stepped out of hse durin the nite for a dinner + supper...
headed to our fav mee suan stall @ kembangan... (:

Went FEP for a manicure session in the noon...
had yummylicious chicky rice at lvl 4 and roamed ard orchard...
met parents for a dinner @ Two Chefs eating place... glad tat they like the food over there.... paps sent dar back hm and tat ended the last day of the long holiday....
long wkends are soo greatly spent when u have ur loved ones by your side... (:
looking forward to the next long wkend in Sept.. ;)
